Graduate Building Surveyor

Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £22000 – £26000/annum

As part of the Building Surveying team you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse, interesting and challenging client base.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the senior managers in their day-to-day activities.
Working across a number of projects in different sectors and being able to provide a range of building surveying duties
The use and application of standard forms of building contract, such as JCT/NEC
Understand the principles of quality, safety and the environment within the management of projects.
Carry out surveys, inspections, schedules, provide professional services and the management of schemes in Yorkshire and across the North of England.
Requirements:
A BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or a similar degree accredited by RICS
Working towards professional membership of the RICS
A minimum of 2 years post graduate experience
Working towards or recently passed APC
A sound technical surveying knowledge, demonstrating growing experience and ability
Good sound knowledge of drafting technical documents
Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements
CSCS approved would be an advantage
An ability to manage your time
Mathematical ability and an understanding of the need for accuracy in all your work
Punctuality and a commitment to get the job done
IT literate -a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software packages including CAD
The successful candidate will possess a willingness to continue to develop their career through the companies structured training programme.
