Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE + Benefits

STEM Source is recruiting an individual for a fantastic opportunity that exists for a talented and highly motivated engineer within Oxford, experience and ability of safety systems and system engineering in an ever-evolving and fast-paced industry. The ideal candidate would be looking to gain knowledge, experience and progress with the experience that can only be gained from within a small/medium sized company.

Vital to this role you must have in-depth knowledge of engineering principles, a sound knowledge of ISO26262 or similar (IEC 61508 etc.), TS16949 and SPICE and strong analytical and technical writing skills.

Key Responsibilities will include:

* Take ownership for the product DFMEA, APQP, FTA processes at the motor controller and systems level

* Part of the team implementing our Automotive SPICE process

* Part of a team implementing and creating the process of product developed to ISO 26262 ASIL C. This will require tracking and ensuring that the defined processes are followed

* The concise formation of documentation and supporting items to a high standard to satisfy functional safety audit and assessment and TS 16949

* Work closely with control hardware teams and firmware to ensure best practice is followed and the product meets safety goals

* Working closely with the Systems Manager and QA Manager

* Provide guidance to the hardware and firmware teams in safety-related processes.

Desirable experience and skills:

* Firmware/Electronic engineering background and education to a degree level

* 3yrs+ experience in a functional safety and systems process environment

* Requirement tracking systems (Cradle, DOORs etc)

* The use of DFMEA tools (APIS etc)

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an emphasis on concise technical report writing.
