Status: Permanent, full time, 37 hours per week
We are major college facility in Cheshire providing high quality industry standard education. Our areas of specialism are Dairy, Food Technology, Bakery and Butchery. Our modern processing halls have separate areas for each of the different specialisms – this role is primarily to support activity within the processing halls.
Our Processing Halls operate at high standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and hold full BRC certification – currently Grade AA. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Technologist team within the College Food Centre Processing Halls.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on individual with experience of operating modern Food/Dairy Technology equipment.
Duties will include supporting learning and other activities which occur in the Processing Halls, through the preparation of materials and equipment, setting up of practical sessions, operating equipment, and cleaning.
An understanding of practices intrinsic to a modern food manufacturing environment which operates to leading edge standards of Good Manufacturing Practice is a requirement for this role.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and an understanding Dairy and Food manufacturing practices will be important as well as being of a quality conscious nature.
Please note this role constitutes ‘regulated activity’ as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment. You must have the right to work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence to support this.
