Food Service Assistant

Salary : £9.21 – £16.85/hour

As well as being able to take pride in doing your bit for this fantastic institution during these challenging times you will be rewarded with a decent wage for your effort and hard work: £9.21ph for hours during the week; £12.99 for hours on Saturday and on Sunday it’s £16.85ph.
The catering facilities are open between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Sunday with the food service assistants’ standard hours tending to be Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm. There is however overtime often available with many of the current staff currently doing 50 hours per week on average.
The main responsibilities of the role are to ensure all meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner are well-presented and in a position to serve; adhering to all the correct food safety / hygiene principles and protocols at all times. You would also be responsible for serving the meals in the correct fashion; providing excellent customer service whilst doing so.
What we’re looking for:

* Good communicators who can follow instructions and protocols without issue
* People who understand the importance of excellent customer service
* Some experience of working within a busy catering / hospitality setting
* Holders of an accredited Level 2 food safety certificate gained within the last 2 years or applicants who are happy to gain the qualification via an online 4 hour course we can organise
* All successful applicants will need to undergo an enhanced DBS police background check and provide references covering the past 3 years.
