Business Development Manager in New Fire Alarm & Security Systems
Midlands Based Company
£28-35k basic (OTE 45K)

My client are a well established fire and security company who currently looking for a strong sales person.

• To sell and promote my clients business and generate new Sales of Fire Alarm systems & Fire related systems including Access control & CCTV products.
• Ideally live within the area of Central or South Birmingham area and be able to work from my clients Office in Redditch but operate out within the area day to day.
• Be self-motivated able to work on their own initiative to secure all types of business from end users, FM companies Contractors and Consultants within the local area.
• Be fully conversant with all the regulations and BS5839pt1 be able to design a project and prepare quotations validate supplier quotes on a technical and a design level and submit all proposals to clients and follow through to secure orders. Product training will be provided if needed on specific systems as required.
• Be able to generate new business opportunities themselves from consultant’s specifications through to completion and achieve monthly targets and maintain healthy margins.
• Have a proven track record of small to medium works and hit targets at around £400k-£600k pa.
• Be able to bring in small to medium sized projects on a Supply & Commission basis, some Installation works all within a reasonably local area within the Midlands and over all the disciplines including maintenance.
• Have Good communication and IT skills, be hard working and be able to provide and demonstrate good sales techniques and be professional at all times.
• Able to demonstrate a good existing client base and sales history with experience of 3 years minimum

My client will provide:

• A fully expensed Car for business & private use along with a company laptop and mobile phone for business use
• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Good basic and OTE potential to the successful candidate if they can achieve and have the sales drive to be successful
• Salary TBA c£28-£35k basic plus a good Commission structure on Sales OTE c£45k. Salary and commission may vary based on experience and targets agreed.

You will need to

• Report to Directors with an opportunity to head up a new Sales Team and progress in a local small business
• References will be required
• A Clean Driving Licence will be required
• Able to be DRB security cleared will be required.
