Finance Implementation Consultant

Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £40000 – £50000/annum car allowance

Nice role for an Implementation Consultant / Finance Consultant partly home based, some office days near Wokingham and a lot of onsite work with clients. The company is looking for an experienced Functional Consultant with full life cycle implementation skills on Tier 1 or Tier 2 accounting / finance software solutions, or an Implementation Consultant, with a prior background as a qualified or part-qualified accountant. Salary to £50k + car allowance and benefits.

They author and sell a highly scalable and configurable ERP solution to large construction and engineering firms and property companies in the UK and worldwide. It has a large element of accounting to it. They are a global leader in this field and a hugely successful software company. They have a very strong work ethic and a professional and talented team and are committed to providing top quality service to their clients.

You will look after the complete implementation life cycle, from requirements gathering, scoping, and running workshops to developing functional specifications based on the business requirements, preparing gap fit documentation, coordinating with all the stakeholders, maintaining client confidence and delivering software implementations within scheduled timeframes, followed by user training.

There will be plenty of variety as apart from the finance aspects, you will learn several other modules of the software, including construction, service management, house building, design, job status, BI, mobile apps, and HR.

An accounting background or qualification is essential. Ideally you will have moved into software implementation and consulting from an accountancy background and will be qualified or part qualified. Or you may have extensive experience implementing accounting software and are capable of talking to CFO’s and company accountants about their software issues.

You are energetic and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work confidently in a client facing environment is essential. UK wide travel is part of the role, so you need to be happy with some nights away from home.

As the projects are for very large construction firms there are lots of interesting challenges to deal with.
