The Finance Assistant will be responsible for the following:

Responsible for completing Month end responsibilities with no material errors within reporting deadline
Support the Senior Finance team with updating financial forecasts
To support with developing, evolving and bringing consistency to weekly & monthly management reporting across your portfolio and the wider finance community
To act as a key contact to the business and provide value add decision support and insight
Build strong relationships with business unit leads
Revenue control throughout your Portfolio
Responsibility for 2 to 3 business units (depending on experience)
Responsibility for working capital management
Cost management
Balance sheet ownership
Maintenance of revenue trackers including FX calculations, reconciliations to Data Valley (financial system) and code closures
Various ad hoc activities
Support the senior finance team through the external audit process
Monthly and weekly reporting – utilisation, working capital, time-sheets and revenue
Provide adhoc support as required to the senior finance team
Ability to work effectively in a virtual work environmentProfile

The Finance Assistant will possess the following:

Excellent Academic record with a relevant degree
Keen to start studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA – study package to support)
Strong Excel skills of intermediate level or above (preferred)
Strong problem solving and analytic capabilities
Continuous improvement attitude
Experience with preparing management accounts including journal processing (preferred)
Ability to work quickly to a high level of accuracy with attention to detail (essential)
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work at all levels in the organisation (from the least experienced to senior management)
Compelling written and oral communications skills
Strong project management skills and ability to multi-taskJob Offer

The Finance Assistant will benefit from the following:

Base salary up to £32,000 per annum (with a 6 month salary increase)
