Are you currently a Farm Manager looking for a new challenge on a growing family-owned farm?
My client operates across 1,500 acres of land which covers all arable growing. The role is required due to a retirement in the family. This is an exciting time to join the business as they are wanting to grow and need the right person on board to do this. They're looking for an experienced Farm Manager with extensive knowledge in arable farming to grow this side of the farm.
The Role
They are seeking to recruit a highly capable, experienced and self-motivated Farm Manager supporting the business which forms part of a wider group of diverse companies with ambitious expansion plans. The successful candidate will assist in leading the Farm's day-to-day operations, whilst assisting and supporting the owner in their strategy decisions to deliver a viable, environmentally responsible, progressive growing business. The role will primarily involve running the Farm's sizeable in-hand arable crops, harvest and storage, as well as, considering business growth and diversification.
The Candidate
We are looking for someone with proven track record of management at a high level with sound financial understanding and a hands-on attitude. Also someone with the ability to understand and embrace the challenges faced by modern agricultural businesses and the future structural changes to the industry. Someone who is passionate about farming, regenerative agriculture and conservation and a detailed understanding of the balance between commercial productions and environmental management. BASIS and FACTS qualified would also be desirable.
