This role requires a minimum of 3 days working from the office based in Coventry. Flexible working hours are available.

JOB PURPOSE:
* To work in partnership with the Group Event Director to develop and implement sales plans and introduce sales activities and strategies to ensure the financial success of events. Effectively cultivate and manage customer relationships to support the long-term growth of shows. Manage sales teams ensuring staff are adequately trained to meet company performance standards and KPIs. Work in partnership with Operations and Marketing to plan and efficiently execute events and relevant pre- and post-event responsibilities.

To support the long-term growth of our Congress by cultivating relationships with the world’s leading medical and pharmaceutical companies and developing creating multi-year deals and partnerships through educational opportunities.
PERSON SPECIFICATION – SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* Experience within an exhibition sales role (a minimum of 3 years)
* Strong commercial awareness
* Awareness of exhibition production (desirable)
* Experience of growing and developing new markets and products (desirable)
* Tele-sales, media sales or exhibition background (desirable)
* Relevant industry knowledge (desirable)
* Understating of event cycle (desirable)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
* Experience working within fast paced environments
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
* Strong administrative skills
* Numerate
* Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
* Able to work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Able to work independently and as part of a wider team
* People management experience – leading teams, managing performance and conduct, training and effectively delegating with the ability to roll your sleeves up when necessary
* Proactive and able to utilise initiative
* Experience effectively managing internal stakeholders and external customers
* Strong IT skills and systems management e.g., Microsoft Office programmes
