Estate Management Couple (Gamekeeper & Maintenance)

This is a great opportunity for a couple to very much run their own show developing an Estate where the new owners have very flexible plans where you can not only guide but influence the direction. You will benefit from an annexe to the main house with your own garden and parking area.
We have a vacancy for a full time Estate Worker (including some gamekeeping duties) at a private 1,200 acre estate located in Powys Mid Wales. This position would be perfect for someone who has experience and is looking for work on a private country estate. Ideally the applicant would be employed at the estate alongside their partner/wife who would take care of household duties within the main house, assist with food preparation and other work around the estate. The role for the other half could include cooking and house keeping initally only expected to be c15 weekends per year to cover shoots and family visits. The key maintenance of the Estate and establishment of a shoot, general estate maintenance, ground care around the house, tree planting, pest control, and development of a shoot on the estate.

Team work ethic and willingness to undertake additional training as necessary
Prepared to work flexible hours when required
Qualifications and Experience – ideally a minimum of 4 years as an underkeeper
Full UK Driving Licence
Firearms and Shotgun Licence
Relevant training accreditation for ATV / Quad, Chainsaw, Pesticide, First Aid are desirableGame keeping experience with pheasant, partridge and deer will be an advantage inclusive of predator control.
