Environmental Manager – Waste & Recycling

Based: North Yorkshire

Package: £35,000 – £40,000 basic (experience dependant).

LWS Services are proud to be the chosen recruitment partner of a well-established waste recycling and reuse business based in Yorkshire.

This rapidly expanding business operates 4 sites across Yorkshire and Humber offering a wide range of waste services. 2 of their East Yorkshire depots are now undergoing a major investment and growth plan in response to the commercial and industrial investments within these regions.

Due to expansion they’re now looking for an Environmental Manager to join their growing team.

Role:

manage day to day operations, site compliance, customer and Authority audits and support the groups other sites.

Main Duties:

* Site permit compliance and improvements

* One to one experience with the Environment Agency and DEFRA

* On and off-site Customer Duty of Care audits

* Staff and team compliance training

* EMS, OMP and fire management plan upkeep and amendments

* Waste acceptance systems and overview of detailed analysis and MSDS

* Reporting and record keeping

* you will be required to travel to other sites from time to time (travel expenses covered).

Skills & Experience required:

* Direct experience within the Organic waste processing sector. (composting, Anaerobic Digestion, Animal by Products)

* COTC level 4 in organic treatment

* Basic Chemistry and Biology

* management experience,

* ISO auditing standards.

* Analytical overview and research

Working hours: Monday to Friday 7am – 5pm.
