Salary : £42000/annum

Our Client is one of the largest companies in their specialist field and in turn can offer a competitive salary of £42,000 plus benefit. The successful candidate will ensure the engineering function and production capability is aligned to the manufacturing, sales and distribution strategy. This includes the establishment of repairs and maintenance systems, strategies and the design & implementation of future production capability with the support of Project Engineering resource.

Deliver the site engineering & capital plans from a legal & mandatory, operational, site services & infrastructure perspective.

Risk management of engineering systems & processes, equipment & people.
Manage engineering KPI's including Budget, PM's, OEE, MTBF, breakdowns etc.
Development of the engineering team for current & future needs.
Appoint and manage contractors.
Establish effective relationships with OEM's/Suppliers to resolve issues & develop long term solutions.
Key to this role is being a self-starter, who can work remotely and autonomously implementing proposed engineering processes and overcoming challengers to get the factory performance to world class. Strong all round engineering experience is essential as a full understanding of how factories in the UK operate.

The role will require the formation of strong working relationships with:

Internally: Site General Manager – daily; Site Operations Team – Weekly – to review site standards

and performance; Technical Manager – daily; H&S Manager; Capital Projects Team, Site Operations,

Finance, Procurement, IT, HR. Externally: 3rd Party Suppliers, Contractors, other FF Eng. Managers

Role Dimensions:

Reports to: Site Operations Manager
Direct Reports: 4
Budget holder: Yes
Location: Selby Mill with occasional FF mills- travel based on requirements
Provide engineering direction to Site Operations Manager
Authorisation of revenue up to specified level
Selection of contractors for Repairs and Maintenance (R&M) in line with FF policy
Responsible for staffing and organisational decisions
Responsible for developing and delivering annual capital programme with E&P and R&M plans/budgets.
Maintaining duty of care responsibilities, ensuring quality, quantity and promotion of a safe working environment
Authority to suspend production at any time in the event of any of the above conditions being compromised
Advice on manufacturing budgets, direct control of site maintenance budget
Identification of world class maintenance solutions to resolve various operational and distribution challengers
