An excellent opportunity has arisen for a driven, calm and highly organised Editorial Assistant to join a leading educational publisher on a full-time, permanent basis. Our client offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits and an inclusive, supportive, flexible working environment. This role offers hybrid working, ideally spending 1-2 days per week in the company's Hampshire office.
This role will sit within the Higher Education and Vocational Education Publishing team, where the Editorial Assistant will provide editorial support, ensuring projects are delivered on time to budget. Tasks include (amongst others):
Liaising with authors and reviewers
Assisting with the checking, proofreading and editing processes
Assisting with permissions clearance/image research
Assisting with general market research
Assisting with the writing of back-cover blurbs and other product description copy
Assisting with the organization of meetings and taking meeting notes
The ideal Editorial Assistant will have some experience of administrative, editorial or production work, and an interest in Education / Publishing. You will have high attention to detail, be results driven, calm under pressure and confident when communicating with colleagues and customers.
