Editorial Assistant

Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary :

Do you have strong proofreading skills and a curiosity for scientific publishing and medical content? A specialist healthcare publisher is looking for an Editorial Assistant to join their publications team! This role will join a very friendly and results-driven team, and be responsible for supporting the editorial workflow on publications that help promote best practice in healthcare. The role can be largely remote, with possibility for hybrid home/office work once their offices in Buckinghamshire are open again.

They're looking for someone who can check quality and accuracy of content, so a really good eye for detail and some familiarity with scientific terminology are very important.

Key responsibilities:

Assisting with all editorial duties throughout publication process
Writing news pieces and blurbs for social media aimed at specialist and non-specialist readerships
Commissioning content from external contributors and subject experts
Ensuring all content is accurate, fact-checked when necessary, and in line with house style and quality standards
Uploading content onto the CMS platform

The successful candidate will have great editorial skills, and attention to grammar and punctuation, and they will be able to prioritise their work across multiple projects with different deadlines. They will preferably have a background in life science (or relevant experience), and an understanding of medical terminology.

For a full description of the role, please send your CV with a brief paragraph outlining your relevant skills.

Closing Date: Early applications may be prioritised.
