Salary : £32000 – £36000/annum

Our client is a professional association publishing technical journals and magazines for their professional members – they are looking for an experienced Editor to be the figurehead of all news, views and technical expertise to manage and produce their journal. This role will be based in their Gloucestershire offices 2-3 days per week.

The Editor will be responsible for editing, designing and proofing each issue in line with house style, as well as writing content when required. You will layout content using InDesign and manage an in house Production Editor. The Editor will also have responsibility for daily news published online, as well as sharing this via social media and other channels. This role will be crucial in being able to work with multiple stakeholders and suppliers including printers and the digital team to ensure timely publication, mailing and upload of each issue.

The successful candidate will be an ambitious and proactive Editor with exceptional communication and networking skills. Exceptional writing, transcribing, sub editing, editing and proofing skills as essential, alongside experience in working on magazine production to tight deadlines.
