Find Online Recruitment Group are working exclusively with a leading Construction business in the recruitment of an E-Commerce Director. This is a newly created role with a focus on harmonising, developing, and delivering the E-Commerce strategy across multiple brands.
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate an ability to deliver at both a strategic and operational level within a fast-paced, high performance environment.
Responsibilities | E-Commerce Director
Weekly and monthly reporting to the Board of Directors on all aspects of eCommerce performance.
Develop an eCommerce vision that is allied with the overall company strategy
Define and implement online strategies that are tailored to multiple eCommerce channels
Direct the eCommerce Team to ensure that Marketing activities, UX and product selection support the sales targets
Provide direction to the eCommerce Team when prioritising operational tasks
Work closely with Data and Pricing Teams to ensure product information is complete, meaningful and compelling to maximise sales opportunities
Provide clear direction regarding product range with considerations of seasonality and purchasing habits
Work closely with Product Category and Buyers to secure robust supply chains and additionally onboard new online-only supplier and product offering
Propose plans to increase sales growth and profitability through the adoption of extended ranges and alternative buying strategies
Collaborate with internal support functions so that priorities are communicated and understood to ensure resource availability
Collaborate with internal traditional Marketing function where an omnichannel customer experience is essential
Analyse and benchmark the Trade and Retail sales performance within our sector and develop areas for improvement
Establish relevant eCommerce KPI's and metrics.
Provide online competitor analysis and effectively react to market and social-economic conditions
Flexibility to be able to adapt to the changing needs of the business
Define best in class practices for online Customer Service.

Able to demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of eCommerce activities and identify and implement best practice activities across the business.
Able to be hands-on and get involved in day-to-day e-commerce activities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to be an eCommerce advocate to help influence the wider business with regard to the benefits eCommerce offers.
Effective leadership skills, able to develop a strong and effective team.
Strong commercial skillset.
Proven skills in influencing and motivating others to achieve targets.
