What you will do
We are looking for a Product Manager to join and lead the team on a part time basis (4 days per week). This is a key role where you'll scope, define and implement a completely new and revolutionary product from the ground up.
You'll be responsible for understanding local publishers, users, setting a compelling product vision, prioritisation, acquiring and retaining users. Ultimately, you'll be responsible for the success of the product.
You will work closely with publishers, developers, designers, external partners, senior leadership, and you will help identify opportunities & challenges while guiding the product to success.
You will need to have excellent communication skills and have a solid technical UX & market knowledge to understand our product, the market & future opportunities.
You will building a new team team from the ground up and will need an understanding of what resource skillsets are required to launch a successful product
You will manage the project costs and work to an agreed time frame based on the various milestones of the project.
You will work closely with:
1. Key stakeholders
3. Developers & Head of Engineering
4. Regional teams throughout the UK
5. External partners and piublishers
We are a small and cohesive team, and we always optimise for shortest time to market, which often results in releasing working, usable but imperfect products that we iterate on and improve. You have to be comfortable with this style of working.
Experience managing consumer facing digital products (website, apps or both) and be able to display an understanding of different user types. Experience with large scale media/tech products would be ideal. We will consider people with similar transferable skills who have a genuine enthusiasm for the role.
You need to be an effective collaborator and have an ability to manage relationships and stakeholder expectations.
Experience of managing costs and working to agreed timeframes within a large, multifaceted project
We are looking for someone who has an uncanny ability to identify value, risk and can prioritise to get the right product features developed. You should have experience managing product backlogs.
You'll also need to be a great communicator – we want to see you inspire us by presenting compelling product visions while convincing other stakeholders to get behind you. You'll also need to be able to listen to users & distill their needs into new high-value features.
It would be beneficial if you have some technical knowledge of frontend, backend and technologies.
Expertise using spreadsheets: creating charts, forecasts and interpreting data.
We are excited by rapid & lean development of our product and believe in its vision.
We strive to receive real feedback from what we've built in the form of real user data, as quickly as possible after we've built it, and we relentlessly do whatever we can to drive this time-to-feedback downward. We deploy changes as often as possible.
We are comfortable with the fact that our decisions and the result of our work will be proven wrong by data, and adapt very quickly.
We own our work with pride
