Design Manager
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £60000 – £70000/annum plus full benefits package
Sphere Solutions are working with a one of the UK's -leading main contractors, recruiting for an experienced Design Manager to work with an award winning -design delivery team.
Projects will be varied, covering all aspects of construction; including commercial, leisure, regeneration and care homes. This opportunity will give you the chance to work on some of the region's most prestigious land mark projects, up to £50m in value. Working with an experienced Principle Design team, you will be both office and site based across the South Wales Region.
The role will involve:
" Design Management – chairing meeting, monitoring progress and costs
" Design control, design change documentation
" Producing programmes of works and scheduling
" Preparing fee proposals and design process statements
" Project progress reporting
Suitable candidates will have experienced at a similar level with a regional or main contractor and have either a construction or architectural/engineering related qualification. Major projects experience will be advantageous along with good knowledge of design process, at delivery design stage with a contractor. The role will be Newport based with works across the South Wales region, a full driving license is required.
