Design Coordinator
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £30000 – £40000/annum
Sphere Solutions have an opportunity for an Design Coordinator to join a contractor in Swansea. You will join an experienced team working on various multi million pound new build schemes consisting of education, health, commercial and residential projects across South Wales. Client will consider a candidate from an Architectural Background as well.
Key Accountabilities will include:
•Assist in the production of the Contractors proposals.
•Support in the production and management of the design programme and Information Required Schedule.
•Assist in the implementation of the design management procedures to ensure the timely production and issue of information.
•Review/comment on all design deliverables, including specialist supplier elements and interfaces to establish that they are within budget are fully coordinated and are buildable.
•Coordinate project team comments, and resolve any design related construction queries with the design team.
•Control design change process management.
•Organise and chair regular design team meetings.
•Review the design with respect to mitigating Health and Safety issues prior to construction.
•Ensure the project team are working to the agreed Contractor Proposals.
•Provide guidance to the Project team on design related issues.
