Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £30000 – £40000/annum

A fantastic opportunity for a Ph.D. level or experienced Industrial Control Systems Engineer to build and operate an Industrial Control Systems Laboratory for a leading Cambridge software company! Still hiring, interviewing, and onboarding remotely!!

Location: Initially remote, then Cambridge, UK (after lockdown) – please only apply if you can work in Cambridge, UK.

Salary: £36k – 40k straight Ph.D. or up to £55k experienced + excellent benefits including private health cover and pension

Requirements for Control Systems Engineer :

·A minimum of a 2.1 bachelors relating to Control Systems such as Electronic Engineering

·Experience in Industrial Control Systems and Networks

·Experience in at least one mainstream programming language – C, C++, Python, Java, C# etc

·Ability to quickly pick up new technologies



·Good communication skills

·We are particularly keen to hear from people with experience with various control system vendors such as ABB / Honeywell / Yokogawa / GE / Siemens / Rockwell etc

Responsibilities for Control Systems Engineer :

You will be working within the R&D team for a large software company to build and operate an ICS laboratory. You will create a wide range of possible automation network activities on a small scale. Running the laboratory will involve rapid change and additions to multiple vendor equipment, software, programming, and network protocols. You will also be expected to write code to further analyse the networks that you create.
