Join our Policy, Communications and Public Affairs team as a Content Officer to support in delivering Seetec’s external and internal engagement strategies through creating cut through content that reaches the right audiences at the right time through the right channel. Engaging our employees and promoting our value proposition externally to help protect and grow business and improve people’s lives by unlocking their social and economic potential.
Our successful candidate will have experience of a similar role or journalist role and have exceptional copywriting and editing skills. You will be results and outcome focused individual who has a digital native to keeps on top of key trends and innovations.
You will be strong storyteller who is able to develop content for a range of channels and who understands that great content is more than just great copy!
•Build a good understanding of the issues, challenges and priorities for the business and establish a network of contacts to ensure information and knowledge is kept up to date
•Maintain a good knowledge of Seetec’s external engagement strategy and the internal communications strategy.
•Provide essential input into the content strategy for internal and external communications; attending the external communications Editorial Board meetings and relevant internal communication meetings
•Manage day-to-day content development, against plan, acting as the go to person and creating unmissable, dynamic content that brings our messages and narratives to life in the most powerful and compelling ways; driving reach and maximising engagement through range of content formats and assets:
•Generate ideas for turning messages, information and campaign strategies into stand out content
•Produce and commissioning images, graphics, photography, infographics, videos, blogs, vlogs, podcasts and printed collateral that make every content moment matter
•Editing and copywriting text and materials
•Ensuring we leverage all channels to amplify our campaigns and advocacy programmes
Skills and Experience
•3-4 years’ experience in a similar position or journalist role
•Experience of writing copy and creating content for distinctive audiences, in different formats and styles for a variety of channels
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 p.a. (dependent on experience) This is a 12 month fixed term contract
Hours: 37 hours a week Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm – Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm
