Salary : £51000 – £59000/annum

Our client is a highly prestigious professional membership body operating in the legal sector, they produce content around the wider issues that impact Law, as well as practical guides for solicitors and content to engage a broad market across magazines, the web, social media and video. They are now looking to hire a Content Lead to join the organisation, responsible for managing two direct reports and leading the development of engaging, inspiring content that drives awareness of the organisations work.

Key responsibilities will include:

Develop and deliver content strategies that drive engagement
Oversee the creation or commissioning of high-quality content across print and digital, delivered on the web, for magazines, podcasts, video and graphic
Lead, manage and develop the content team, ensuring smooth and effective delivery of content outputs
Build and develop the team's ability to tell stories that tie in with the purpose of the organisation and maximise engagement
Take on hands on content projects – thinking about new content formats; engagement activity and content marketing techniques which will add value

The successful candidate will have strong leadership and management skills with proven experience in managing and developing a team. Experience in creating and delivering a content strategy and developing content that aligns with that is essential, ideally in a professional membership environment. The ability to storytell is absolutely essential, this may be from another editorial role, or perhaps a journalistic background. Experience in the legal sector is not at all essential, just an interest in creating relevant, engaging content both directly and through a developing team.
