Our client, one of Kent's leading law firms, are looking for a Compliance Co-ordinator to join their Risk and Compliance team.
The successful candidate will join a busy small team responsible for carrying out the new client and matter opening process. This involves working closely with other members of the Compliance Team and Fee Earning teams across the business. Duties include but are not limited to:
* Manage incoming requests for client and matter opening.
* Carrying out anti-money laundering checks for new clients and matters; and maintain relevant records in accordance with the firm's policies.
* Be familiar and keep up to date with, and give pro-active guidance, or answer queries, within the firm on the firm's relevant policies and procedures.
You will have 2-3 years previous experience within a compliance role ideally at law firm. Experience in identifying and dealing with issues relating to sanctions, high risk jurisdictions and other high risk situations is highly desirable. Our client will consider those with legal experience with exposure to compliance.
You will possess excellent business research abilities, have an analytical approach to tasks and be accustomed to working without close supervision.
You will be a team player, have excellent communication skills and show willingness to "go the extra mile".
