Communications Officer / Internal Communications Specialist required for a permanent role at an engineering manufacturing company in Clevedon. The salary range is £25K to £32K.
The role is to develop and coordinate communications activities within the company.
The key objectives of this role are to support the cascade of the global and local management strategy and priorities; support key change programmes; and to engage people through the sharing of local news and achievements.
This is an exciting, multi-faceted role that will have the opportunity to engage with people at all levels of the global organisation and will be a key member of the global Communications organisation.
The main responsibilities of the role will be to:
Plan, set up and manage a local communications plan, including the selection and development of local channels, to provide regular communications to all office and factory-based employees.
Craft and distribute local news and announcements covering people achievements, success stories, CSR etc.
Devise local feedback mechanisms and response channels to promote employee inclusion and engagement.
SharePoint (intranet) development and maintenance.
Provide local content for corporate internal campaigns and channels.
Act as a brand steward, implementing the company’s brand promise and upholding the company’s brand identity and consistency in all activities, with guidance from the central brand team, including correct branding of the site.
Support the local Safety and HR teams to ensure that Safety, Wellbeing, Diversity & Inclusion activities are embraced and communicated across the company.
While the role is focused on internal communications, it may also entail a limited amount of external communications activities
