Your key responsibilities as the Commis Chef will consist of:

– Accountable for maintaining and controlling food stocks within budget
– Accountable for innovative menu planning and design of food service within specified budgets ensuring a high standard of food presentation and portion/quality control
– Accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies and duty of care to customers and colleagues
– Ensuring that the quality of food is consistently high and that hygiene standards are exceeded
– Purchasing food and supplies from vendors approved by the company
– To ensure that all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines are adhered to, receipt and storage of provisions; monitoring stock rotation and ensuring that all food is labeled clearly and correctly
– The desire to develop menus, be innovative and drive the business forward in the long term
– Passion, enthusiasm and creativity in the kitchen, ensuring high standards are maintained in the quality of food, both as to its preparation and presentation
– Participate in any training/development as required

– Catering experience essential
