CNC Miller
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £9 – £14.72/hour + overtime
KPJ Group are recruiting for a CNC Miller to join an award-winning engineering company based in the Stockport area who supply a wide range of machine components worldwide to various industries. The primary objective of this role will be to effectively program, set and operate CNC machines in order to produce orders on time and to the required standards.

Hours of work:
Days – 39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 7am – 4:30pm
Friday 7am – 12:30pm
Nights – 40 hours per week
Monday – Thursday 8pm – 6:30am
(4 nights per week)
What will you be doing as a CNC Miller?
* Edit/modify programs directly on the machine to machine components to meet customer requirements based on drawings supplied
* Carry out manufacturing processes and/or set and operate machinery as trained, to manufacture product to meet specifications required
* Meet production and quality targets set on a daily basis.
* Carry out quality checks on products and record the information accurately.
* Making sure that machinery and production areas are kept clean, maintaining a high level of housekeeping and fill out the relevant paperwork.
* Make suggestions on how to improve the processes in relation to production quality or manufacturing time.
What do you need?
* Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
* Experience of working in a target driven environment
* The ability to use a wide range of different measuring devices and inspection techniques
What’s nice to have?
* Experience of setting and/or programming on CNC machining centres using Siemens/Fanuc/Haas controls (highly desirable)
* Understanding and maintaining 5S
