Due to continued success and expansion, this company have a requirement for a CAD Engineer to join the team based in the West Midlands. The position will involve working across the sales and technical departments to assist in the design of sheet metal and heavy processed carbon steel plate products for heavy industrial applications including; Civil Engineering, Offshore Energy, Construction and some of the most critical manufacturing projects nationally. Candidates will utilise SolidWorks experience to design the metal products and SigmaNEST for best utilisation of base material.
This would be an ideal opportunity for a candidate with hands on experience utilising engineering equipment such as; fibre laser, HD plasma, water jet, oxy gas profiling equipment and/or press brake who would like to take the next step in their career. It would be particularly advantageous to have knowledge of sheet metal or steel plate processing.
Key Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the sheet metal / steel plate processing industry with knowledge of; laser, plasma, water jet or oxy gas cutting services
* Experience utilising Solidworks, Sigmanest and other associated applications would be highly advantageous
* Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to advise customers on technical aspects of production.
* Must have a ‘customer focused attitude’ with a high level of attention to detail.
* Must demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work as a team or as an individual
