We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Butcher to join the growing team at this high-end food retail operation.

The product offering includes grass reared Beef & Lamb, free-range outdoor reared pork and poultry, homemade sausages, burgers, koftas and kebabs, and an ever expanding range of other complimentary products.

Role & Responsibilities

Full Carcass butchery
Delivering an outstanding experience to all customers.
Creating inspiring, innovative, seasonally changing displays
Ensuring self-serve displays in chillers are attractive and shoppable
Proactively sharing product information with the team and with customers
All due diligence – health and safety, food safety etc.
Stock control
The Ideal Candidate:

ü  Exceptional knife skills

ü  A passion for food

ü  Excellent customer service and sales skills

ü  Commercial awareness and the understanding of yields and costs

ü  Be a good communicator at all levels

ü  Be honest, reliable and dedicated

ü  IT Proficiency

ü  Full drivers license

This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday, (days only). You will be providing cover across 3 shops (all closely located). Shops are closed on Monday, so Monday’s will be spent breaking down carcass; Tuesday-Friday will be based in the shop. You will be given access to a company van (for travel).

The successful candidate will be joining a multi-site, multi-award winning family business with an excellent reputation in their sector and an enviable customer base.  In return for meeting the above criteria the successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary (remuneration dependant on skills and experience). Full training will be given and uniform will be provided.
