We are looking for an ambitious and dedicated Business Development Executive, with account management experience, to join this growing chilled food business based in beautiful Devon.

Reporting to the Head of Sales you will support the whole Sales Team in driving company revenue and profits. You will also be responsible and accountable for the development of business within a designated portfolio of accounts.

Role / Responsibilities:

To identify, and agree with the Head of Sales, an annual sales plan / budget for relevant customers in the retail and symbol group sectors.
Effectively manage / oversee all sales activities relating to relevant customers.
Act as the primary interface between the company and relevant customers.
Responsible for monthly, quarterly and full year dales forecasting.
Utilise data from customers, consumers, market and category intelligence to analyse and improve performance.
Continuously seek new customer opportunities within target sectors
Support the customer by delivering clear sales, marketing and promotional plans.
Promote new products;
Represent the business at conferences, trade fairs and networking events.
The Individual:

ü  Demonstrable track record of achievement working with major national accounts – ideally gained within the Retail sector and / or Symbol Groups – knowledge / understanding of online retailing an advantage.

ü  Significant sales experience in branded food products

ü  Excellent presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal) – able to communicate cross functionally, and build trust with internal and external customers.

ü  Financially numerate with proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Good commercial awareness and acumen.

ü  Capable of developing and demonstrating in-depth knowledge of products and services

ü  Excellent organisational and time management skills

ü  Full Driving license and happy to conduct customer visits
