We at Taylor & Francis have recognised the importance of aligning change with business strategy and are continuing digital transformation with further investment to grow the Enterprise Architecture function. As part of this we are looking for a Business Architect to join our rapidly growing team.

You will be accountable for proactively and holistically leading or supporting Enterprise Architecture activities to create deliverables that guide business models, people, process, organizational change, and investments in response to disruptive forces and toward achieving targeted business outcomes.

You'll report to the Enterprise Architect responsible for business architecture, using extensive knowledge of business process improvement and transformation to facilitate the construction of business models, which may include business capabilities, functions and processes and organisation design.

What you'll be doing:

* Developing a target operating model for the different value streams

* Leading business architectural reviews of new initiatives

* Assuring solutions meet the business requirements

* Supporting the awareness of business architecture and its use across the organisation

Scope of activities

* Establish a shared view of the current business architecture environment

* Describe the primary business functions of the enterprise and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution and business management functions.

* Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise, supporting business and technology innovation.

* Define the future state for business process

* Identify potential opportunities to transform business processes, so they achieve business strategy goals, using appropriate new and innovative approaches

* Build target operating model

* Define the set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organisational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which people, resources and controls are involved in the processes.

* Seek ways to apply new technology to, and reuse existing technology for, business processes; research and provide information on technical trends and competitors' practices relevant to assigned LOB customers.

* Provide strategic consultation to assigned line-of-business (LOB) customers in defining or designing business processes, functions, and organisational structures, as well as in researching, identifying and internally marketing enabling technologies based on customer requirements.

* Assess near-term needs, using structured interview processes, to establish business priorities; consult with technical subject matter experts and develop alternative technical solutions; advise on options, risks, costs vs. benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.

* Promote and support the adoption and use of business architecture

* Support the successful delivery of change across the organisation

* Consult with business-facing projects and maintain knowledge of their progress.

* Develop, motivate, and direct staff to create a team environment, and enable staff to fulfill the LOB customer operating objectives
