Building Physics Engineer

Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £30000 – £40000/annum Excellent company benefits

Our Client are a specialist team of Building Physics Engineers, providing industry leading services and technology to the built environment.
As experts on building performance, in particular the indoor environment, energy consumption and carbon emissions, they work with a range of construction professionals which include Architects, Project Managers and Contractors to deliver significant environmental benefits to their buildings. These include lower construction costs, reduced running expenses and decreased energy demand, working to a common goal of developing leaner greener buildings.
Unusually, as independent building physicists, they are not constrained by being part of a larger mechanical and electrical design consultancy. This freedom allows them to focus fully on their core services and ensure passive design is rightfully prominent in a project, which maximises benefits for their customers.
Closing in on a decade of trading, this dynamic forward thinking consultancy enjoys huge demand for their time and expertise, offering further growth opportunities and exciting career paths. Currently the business is looking for Intermediate and Senior level IES Thermal Modelers to join the team and positively impact a wide range of projects across the residential, education, health care, commercial, retail, industrial and leisure sectors. From an Intermediate level appointment the expectation would be to join the “engine room” and add drive and productivity to what is already a high performing team. From a Senior level appointment the expectation would be split between delivering schemes and managing clients, including some light business development duties to encourage new and repeat custom.
The environment is fast paced and energetic, best suiting Modelers who enjoy the technical detail of the job and those who thrive upon a challenging portfolio of work. Applications are invited from appropriately skilled and experienced Thermal Modelers/Building Physicists who are able to manage their own time, prioritise work and embrace a flexible working environment with a degree of responsibility. The company operates core working hours, but with a degree of flexibility around your wider working day leaving you free to incorporate the gym, school pick ups, appointments or other responsibilities as you see fit.
This refreshing thinking and alternative way of working has proved a huge success, offering their staff flexibility and promoting a more trusting working culture
