BMS Pre Commissioning Engineer

Salary : £25000 – £32000/annum
Our client a leading independent provider of building energy management systems is looking to recruit a BMS PreCommissioning Engineer to join their dynamic and forward thinking Projects team.
As a BMS PreCommissioning Engineer you would be expected:
To commission, set to work and hand over BEMS projects of various sizes and types, ensuring that they operate efficiently, effectively, reliably and safely and are compliant with all specifications and design.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibility for handing over a fully operational system, for acceptance by the customer.
Ensure operation and maintenance manuals, commissioning schedules, handover and witnessing documents are accurate and up to date, and ensure all paperwork is correctly filed on the coordination of onsite H&S. Preparation and review of H&S documentation.
Review and approval of sub-contractor on site H&S documentation.
Carry out factory acceptance testing, demonstrations, witnessing and customer training.
Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with the company’s H&S policies.
Provide regular reporting of commissioning progress to project team. Review current processes and improve or implement new processes to improve quality, efficiency and profitability.
Carry out site validations.Identify and communicate enhancements and improvements to technical standards.
Experience & Qualifications required:
Health & Safety awareness, particularly with construction sites.
Good general BEMS knowledge and relevant industry experience.
The ability to read mechanical and electrical installation drawings,
MCC schematic wiring diagrams, and technical documents
An in depth knowledge of general building services plant and systems.
Fluent with Trend (or equivalent building management systems), able to write and commission controller software and graphics Familiarity with standard comms protocols e.g. BACnet, Modbus, LON and associated interfaces and gateways such as SIPS, TONN
Wider duties: Commercial General commercial awareness Assist with detailed post completion review of projects

This client would consider a Trainee BMS engineer who is keen to progress OR a fully qualified BMS (Trend) Commissioning Engineer
