Harlow Agricultural Merchants Ltd are a leading independently owned company involved in agrochemical, seed and fertiliser supply to arable farming business across East Anglia. Alongside these operations we also have a grain trading division involved in all combinable crops transporting grain from farm gate to end users.

Based near Bishops Stortford , and having first traded in 1980 we have built an enviable reputation with both our customers and our staff , as an employer and supplier.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our team, primarily as an assistant warehouse manager. The role will involve the logistical planning/loading and administration of deliveries, and the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to assist and work in our grain lab, help with field trials , giving them variation within the role, while gaining a wider understanding of the overall business. The role will also encompass relief van driving at times of the year. Succession into the role of senior warehouse manager and further responsibilities within the team is very much key for the right individual looking to build a career in the industry.

Applicants must hold a current driving licence, be capable of working flexible hours, alongside the seasonality of our business. Good IT skills, and an ability to converse with customers and colleagues essential in our open plan office. The role may ideally suit a school leaver not wishing to pursue a university education, ideally aged 18 to 30. Based close to our premises would be helpful ( not essential) due to the early start time required seasonally.

The successful candidate will be given full training with regard to material handling course ( forklift driving) along with driver ADR training to allow the candidate to make deliveries when required. PA ( pesticide application) training will also be provided
