Our client is a leading supplier of soft fruit to major UK retailers, Foodservice, Export, Processing and wholesale. Based in Norfolk near Norwich, they are recognised as one of the most progressive soft fruit growers in the UK committed to investing in its staff equipment and innovation.
Due to continued expansion and restructuring in their growing operations, they have an exciting new opportunity for an ASSISTANT HARVEST MANAGER.
You will be required to attend Harvesting sites on a daily basis and ensure that all sites remain clean and tidy. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating the field facilities and ensuring that all legislative requirements, maximum permitted hours and ‘best practice’ methods are adhered to.
The successful candidate will be required to deputise for the Harvesting Manager and will be expected to work a variety of shift patterns, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and bank holidays during the peak fresh fruit season. This is a hands-on role and would suit someone with experience of managing large teams with great communication skills.
