The Mansion at Coldeast offers over 25,000 square feet of Victorian splendour situated within 9 acres of landscaped grounds and woodland, The venue is perfectly located between Fareham and Southampton, just minutes from junction 9 of the M27 (Whiteley). We have 30 large hotel suites that are equally suited to leisure or business travellers, and we enjoy ample free on-site parking.
Food & Beverage
We offer a range of truly unique, customer focussed food and beverage options be that serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, Sunday roasts or private dining in elegant surroundings in our Montefiore Suite or one of our 6 contemporary outdoor pods. We have a 65+ cover restaurant within the historic building itself, over 100 outdoor dining covers, 6 unique garden dining pods, an outdoor cabin bar, a comfortable guest lounge and a premium cocktail bar.
Events
We are actively growing this sector of the business and can provide exceptional surroundings and service for weddings, wakes, bridal & baby showers, bar mitzvahs, private parties and corporate events. Our Victorian Orangery has its own dedicated bar and has already hosted some exceptional events. The venue catering is serviced by 2 professional kitchens.

About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our growing team and work with our Food & Beverage Manager.
Job Role and responsibilities
Be responsible for ordering, stock control and weekly reporting
Resolve customer complaints promptly and according to company guidelines
To be positive, proactive, and approachable always, encouraging and supporting other members of management and junior members of staff when necessary
Prepare weekly rotas with the Food and Beverage Manager
Oversee cleanliness of staff and physical bar and restaurant area, paying special attention to possible health hazards
Ensure proper cash management
A team player that has a strong personality but is also flexible
Be creative and use your own ideas to drive the business forward
Have great attention to cleanliness and details
Be responsible for ordering, stock control and weekly reporting
A keen eye for detail, never compromising on standards and encouraging others to do the same
Oversee marketing, social media and drive new business opportunities
To create and produce new menus with the Food and Beverage Manager
About the Idea Candidate
• At least two years’ experience as a Manager in a similar operation
• Great presence and a vibrant personality
• Assisting and covering the Food & Beverage Manager
• Communicate effectively with customers, staff, suppliers, and line managers
• Be a real team player who thrives on motivation and empowering your team
• Will have experience in overseeing a large team
• Excellent knowledge and practice in Food Safety and Health & Safety
• Delivers company standards to a high level
• Exemplary customer service skills
• Experience in stock handling and stock control
• Effective time management
Ideally you will have experience working as a manager in a hotel environment, however we would also be extremely interested to hear from candidates who have worked as in restaurants, pubs, catering companies as Team Supervisors, Team leaders, Restaurant managers, assistant restaurant managers, catering manager.
