Assistant Financial Accountant
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £24000 – £28000/annum

They have ambitious plans for the future and in order to move the company into the next phase of expansion are looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to support their expanding finance function and planned acquisitions.

You will be responsible for assisting in the day to day finance operations within the business, supporting the Finance Manager and Financial Accountant where required and providing supervisory support to the finance team.
* Assist with monthly consolidated management accounts
* Completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations at month end
* Daily bank reconciliations for the companies of the Group
* Review Purchase/Sales Ledgers and investigate discrepancies
* Assist with managing the Accounting IT system including fault logging and resolution, training and reporting
* Support the Finance Manager in reviewing, developing and implementing finance procedures to meet business and finance needs
* Support the Finance Manager in ensuring budgeting processes are implemented and reviewed
* Statement runs
* DD collections
* Rents processing
* Payment Processing
* Sales invoicing from Purgo
* Consolidated invoicing
* Other adhoc duties as required
Skills:
* Methodical approach with attention to detail
* Prior experience and working knowledge of an accounts system (Access, SAP, SAGE etc)
* Excellent level of numeracy and literacy
* Excellent knowledge and experience of MS Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs) and Word
* Good interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
* Flexible approach to working
* Ability to build and maintain good relations within your team and other departments
Qualifications:
* ACCA, AAT, CIMA or QBE
