Assistant Farm Manager

Salary : £43700 – £46600/annum
Our client is a large producer of mushrooms in Canada. They are seeking an Assistant Farm Manager.
Reporting to the Farm Manager, the position will be located in Southern Alberta and will be responsible for daily operations and management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist the farm manager in providing leadership, direction and guidance to farm staff
* Manage employee safety programs
* Adopt and implement agricultural technology that provides efficiency in operations and that allows data driven decisions
* Produce the highest quality raw product
* Ensure that mushrooms are being grown correctly
* Ensure that crops are picked correctly and at the right stage of growth
DESIRED PROFILE:
* Bachelor’s Degree
* Experience working on a farm operation, including supervising a team
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Hands on experience in growing mushrooms preferred
* Communication skills
