Assistant Accountant
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £30000 – £32000/annum
Exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join a prestigious business in the heart of Westminster. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of fulfilling the all encompassing Assistant Accountant's remit. In return you will have opportunity to work closely with a talented Finance Director and further your career. The role is a full time position working 40 hours per week, usually Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 6pm.
Main Duties
* Processing high volume of Purchase Invoices
* Reconciling purchase ledger accounts to suppliers monthly statements
* Analysing P&L and providing clarifications for transactions
* Preparation of Weekly and Monthly Suppliers payment runs
* Reconciling Credit Card Statements
* Processing Petty Cash Expenses
* Managing stock control and stock take process
* Assisting with Month End processes
* Performing Bank and Balance Sheet reconciliations
* Supporting with VAT reconciliation
* Preparation of Food and Beverage flash reports
* Preparation of monthly reports for committees
* Working closely with Accountant to support all Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual finance processes.
About you:
* Minimum AAT qualified
* Proficiency in Microsoft office applications, especially Excel.
* Knowledge of Sage
* Prior experience of working with databases.
* Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities.
* A good standard of literacy and numeracy.
* Excellent communications skills with good spoken and written English.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Good attention to detail
* The salary range is £(phone number removed) (dependent on experience
* Staff fund (bonus) paid twice per annum between 12 – 15% annually.
