Our client is a global engineering business who undertake complex turnkey Installation & Integration projects on a worldwide basis. They are experiencing a period of sustained growth and as such are recruiting a number of key strategic hires including a P6 Project Planner.
Project Responsibilities..
Develop and maintain contract/project programmes
Create and maintain a master project plan covering all project plans reviewing engineering resource.
Production planning working with purchasing ensuring key dates are met.
Lead the logistics of projects for transportation.
Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
Planning of complex infrastructure projects
Ensuring project deadlines are met.
Determining project changes.
Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.Engineering Responsibilities:
Analyze project requirements and perform technical assumptions supporting design
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and support
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
Attend design team meetingsAbout you….
Strong fundamental knowledge of mechanical design and its application in automation industrial designs.
An expert user of Microsoft Project
Experienced Engineering Professional with a minimum HNC qualification in Mechanical/Engineering.
Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills, able to work independently or in team environment.
Member of the APM preferred.
Extensive experience in the use of Primavera Project Planner
Must be able to work under own initiative in the production of Project Programmes and tender programmes
Develop broad technical competence and able to check work of all those in the project team
Experience of managing interfaces with engineering disciplines with minimal supervision
Efficiently and plan work tasks.
Experience in preparing project resource histograms, and performance analysis data, and CPI/SPI information.
Must demonstrate a detailed understanding of Project Controls Techniques including, budget and spend management, change control, Earned Value Management, data analysis, trend analysis and Work Package Management.If you would like to be considered for this position please click the apply button and submit your current resume.
