12 Month contract with potential to be made permanent – 9am-5.30pm Mon-Fri
Salary – £18,000.00 to £20,000.00 Per annum, Depending on Experience
Location – Burton-upon-Trent (DE14 1LS)
The company is committed to creating engaging and appealing content that informs readers and reaches advertisers’ target markets. Today, they have 12 unique brands, each of which has its own focus and target audience. All of our brands are B2B focused, we have titles aimed at the healthcare & pharmaceutical industry, the construction & property market, luxury lifestyle and a title aimed specifically at UK based small & medium sized businesses, to name just a few.
They are looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join the creative team currently containing 11 individuals. The successful candidate will work closely with our Senior Designer and our Creative Manager. The role would suit someone who has received formal design training, has natural creative flair and is able to adapt their style to suit varied industry sectors and target audiences. As we are a media group the role will be fast-paced, hence organisation is key as is the ability to work on your own initiative.
Key duties:
* Designing and laying out of our digital magazines to completion
* Selecting suitable images from online paid resources
* Incorporating supplied and sourced images into the magazine ready for client approval
* Design of other materials such as eBooks, adverts, fliers, posters and media packs
* Liaising with clients via telephone and email
* Supporting other members of the team from time to time in various duties
Key requirements for the role:
* Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud particularly InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop
* Experience using Windows OS
* A degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or relevant University course
* Must be self-motivated
Desirable skills:
* 1-2 years of experience working within a design role
* Experience of working with CRM advantageous
* As much of the role will be the design of digital magazines, specific experience in this area would be advantageous
