A local authority based in London is looking for a communications and engagement officer on an interim contract to help with a COVID-19 Project. An experienced communications officer with excellent graphic design skills is required to support the delivery of communications and engagement to minimise the spread of COVID-19 across the borough and support the continued rollout of the vaccine programme. The role will play an essential part in raising awareness and understanding of the key public health messages around COVID-19 prevention, testing, self-solation, vaccine eligibility and combating vaccine hesitancy – particularly among under-represented groups – and encouraging behaviour change to limit the spread of the virus.
Person specification:
Communicates clearly, confidently, and appropriately using the best tools and methods for the task
Proficient in managing and prioritising a demanding communications and engagement work programme to tight timescale
Ability to be flexible and adapt to fast changing policy and public health developments
Ability to influence and motivate a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve the objectives
Strong graphic design skills – experience of InDesign desirable
