Offshore Sourcing Assistant
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £24000 – £28000/annum
Our clients are an exciting and growing brand and licensing business located in Plymouth, an international business working with UK, European & worldwide customers with a wide array of brands and internationally know licences under its umbrella. Specialising in clothing and accessories with customers including mult-store retailers, Concessions, EU E-commerce retailers, Flash sales websites & independent specialist retail stores who are looking for an Offshore Sourcing Assistant (Clothing/Fashion) working alongside the Head of Design and the outsourcing Manager.
You will need to demonstrate:
Experience of garment construction and manufacturing processes, garment branding processes and terminology.
– An understanding of potential issues that need to be managed within a garment manufacturing process.
– An ability to support the design team on garment design.
– An understanding & ability to prepare design spec packs
– Be able to confidently measure garments, assess sizing & fit and be able to identify and manage any potential issues.
– An understanding of QC & testing, with an ability to oversee a Goods In inspection.
– Evidence of QC report writing
– Be able to confidently assess lab dips/strike offs/sample approvals
– Experience of working with production time lines and tracking development at all stages in line with the critical path.
– A history of strong organisational skills and practices.
– A good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
This role would suit someone with 2-3 year's experience in a clothing product development or QC role
