Graphics Designer

An award winning and well-established software provider in Norwich is recruiting for a Graphics Designer. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who’s not had much experience, or a recent graduate, to start you off with your career.
Working in the Development Department, the Graphics Designer will use Windows-based software applications to create graphics and animations and build computer-delivered learning materials.
Job activities:
* Creating graphics, animations and video content.
* Using a range of Windows-based software packages and in-house editing tools that are standard issue within the Development Department.
* Working from a brief to construct computer-delivered and paper-based curriculum materials that include text, graphic, animation, video, voice and sound components.
* Following test procedures and using editing tools, prepare, test, and release curriculum materials.
* General day-to-day activities within the Development Department, including general housekeeping disciplines.
The person carrying out the role must have:
* A recognised qualification in graphic design and/or previous experience in a graphics role.
* The ability to use Windows applications to fulfil the requirements of the job activities. These will include Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Animate, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier and in-house editing tools.
* The ability to use Word Processors, Spreadsheets, Project Management and configuration utilities.
* A high standard of literacy and numeracy.
* An enthusiastic, flexible, self-motivated approach and a willingness to learn new skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills and possess the ability to communicate well with people at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
* The ability to plan their own activities and prioritise workload without close supervision.
* An organised manner and the ability to work effectively – either individually or as part of a team.
* A close attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines, sometimes under pressure, while maintaining set standards.
