Repro Assistant / QC Operator
Location: Leeds

Company: A leading packaging and labels manufacturer.
Role:
* Making internal and external phone calls for any enquiry you may have regarding jobs.
* Check the quality of plates and cutters to allow smooth running of whole printing procedure. Flag any poor-quality items.
* Check artwork – size, content and proofread when required by Repro Administrator.
* Additional QA and checking re GMGs etc. may be required from time to time.
* Periodically, emptying old plate bags out from racks and large filling boxes for recycling the old plate bags.
* Daily filling and maintenance of manual filling system for job cards and archiving of old job cards is very important for the Repro department.
* Mark up any amendments and liaise with the artwork team/account managers.
* Ensure all the extras are added against each individual job on primo for instance plate costing, cutters, GMGs, and screens.
Requirements:
* Previous experience within a packaging artwork and repro position would be desirable
* Ability to check and measure plate dispro and repeats – highly desirable
* FMCG experience – ideally food or beverages accounts but will consider other backgrounds
* Good understanding of how jobs are split by common plates, varnish plates, white, etc.
* Understanding digital, flexo and label job cards – Essential
* Experience of checking packaging artwork files for printability in a fast-paced environment is essential
* Knowledge of packaging artwork, repro, and associated printing technologies
* Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
