Kier Professional Services (KPS) are an exclusive in-house resource, providing readily available expert advice to support understanding and resolution of technical project issues in temporary and permanent works. KPS are able to quickly mobilise resources to support project delivery and consistently deliver a dependable design service for buildability and safety.

We are Kier, one of the UK's leading Construction and Infrastructure services, working on projects such as Hinkley Point C or Mogden Sewage Treatment Works. We are now recruiting for a Principal Engineer to join our Kier Professional Services in Norwich to deliver a broad range of complex Civil and Structural and related services in both temporary and permanent works.

Key Responsibilities

In this exciting Principal Engineer role, you will be responsible for project delivery. You'll lead the production of Temporary and Permanent Works designs for buildings, highways and infrastructure. You'll ensure Temporary Works designs are integrated with Permanent Works and provide engineering input to support tender schemes. You'll lead the development of Group wide technical standards and design processes, identify risks and solutions to facilitate scoping, pricing, designing and construction and provide delivery of bespoke training courses to site-based and construction personnel.

What do we need from you?

Ideally, you'll be a Chartered Professional or aiming to achieve chartership in the short-term and/or have strong demonstrable experience within this discipline. You'll have undertaken a wide range of Civil and Structural design in both temporary and permanent works.
