We are looking for a Warehouse Solutions Design Graduate to design, project manage, and implement innovative solutions and process improvements on behalf of Rhenus Logistics and its clients using AutoCAD software. You will create 2D designs of highly detailed floor plans and layouts for our warehouse. You will design racking, lighting, electrical works and IT infrastructure showing how all of these aspects are integrated with the building to support effective and sustainable operations. 

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00 (37.5 hours per week)

The Department

You will be part of our newly created Programme Management team which has been created to bring together our two brand new sites  which will be based in Nuneaton. You will be working within the team to create initial designs of racking, storage systems, detailed floor plan, etc. using AutoCAD software. 

The role will be  based at Magna Park, Lutterworth initially and will report to the Programme Manager. 

Some of your day to day task could include: 

Liaising with the team to understand the customer requirements and creating initial 2D designs on AutoCAD

Providing  technical advice including where necessary data analysis to ensure that the proposed design will meet Rhenus requirements

Use AutoCAD software to design and create technical drawings and plans of racking and storage systems based on requirements, detailed warehouse floor plans including workstation design, other building integration such as sprinklers and CCTV, etc. 

Support the Solution Design team with plan variations for their proposed solutions

Assist Project Managers with pulling together project specific documents such as project plans

Create plans and elevations to support application for any required regulatory and insurance approvals

Contribute to the procurement of warehouse fit-out items by helping to ensure that the technical specifications meet all Rhenus business requirements

Liaise with suppliers and contractors during the execution phase to provide information as required as well as to monitor progress, identify risk and support the project management team in implementing corrective actions

What you will be like:

Proficient in Computer Aided Design (CAD) 

Confident in IT skills such as Visio, Microsoft / Excel / PowerPoint

Numerate and inquisitive- you will have good numerate skills and high attention to detail and an analytical approach to the interpretation of data

Creative- you will be able to think outside the box and bring fresh idea to the table. 

Happy to get involved in various tasks and projects 

Be able to work in a fast paced people environment and under deadlines 

A great communicator with good interpersonal skills

Effective with your time and have excellent organisation skills

Knowledge /Skills and Qualification that we are looking for:

HNC/HND/ Bachelors degree or equivalent in relevant discipline such as engineering, project management and architecture

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

Full diving licence 

Previous experience working within a project management

Proficient in the use of Sketch-up 

Previous experience of working in Logistics industry 

Previous experience of creating designs
