Printer Technician
Job Type : Temporary, Full Time
Salary : £11.80/hour
Work as part of the print and document service to produce a wide variety of customers' order using the latest equipment to achieve the quality, quantity, cost, and timescale required.
Using the HantsPrint Web shop solution for the processing of online self service orders along with completion of work on Job bags from the Customer Service Team.
Recommend effective artwork solutions from the technical specification to meet the client's brief and create files ready for varying production processes. Liaise with external suppliers and clients if technical advice for artwork is required.
Prepare artwork files and impose prior to progressing into production maximising the efficient output solution for the producing the job.
As a member of the team, you will help to build a better customer experience through face to face conversations and personal interaction, using a positive and proactive attitude when dealing with customers internally and externally. This will include collating and informing the correct HP&DS staff of any information received in support of the progression of any work requested.
Undertake the operation of all printing and ancillary equipment as required, including but not limited to laminating, wire binding, drilling requested by the management team.
Ensure the production area is well maintained and safe at all times i.e., managing stock and consumables, including the repacking of any spare material to minimise waste. Process waste management including the preparation of cardboard waste and emptying of bins when full. This will include boxes to be broken down and placed in bin or appropriate area for disposal.
Respond to the phone and recording the relevant details, before passing on to the desired person to action, if unable to resolve the caller's request.
