Are you an experienced Architectural Technician seeking a new opportunity that will enhance and utilise your Architectural skills?
We are recruiting for an experienced Architectural Technician to join a practice located in Topsham, a 15-minute drive from the city of Exeter. The ideal candidate will preferably have experience in the residential sector. This role will involve working throughout all RIBA stages.
The RIBA Chartered practice has thorough experience within the residential sector as well as educational, and occasionally obtain projects within commercial and healthcare – creating an array of interesting and fascinating projects across the South-West of England. They focus on integrating innovative and sustainable designs that go beyond the expectations of clients. Although it is a small team, the practice is packed with over 25 years of experience and offer a complete architectural design service.
As an experienced Architectural Technician, you will be expected to prepare planning drawings and documentation, developing building regulation packages as well as preparing and undertaking tenders and providing detailed construction information. It will also be extremely beneficial to obtain outstanding communication skills as the role will also involve being client-facing – supporting contractors during the specific phases.
The Position: Architect
* Proficient in AutoCAD software.
* Thorough technical detailing skills.
* Ability to inspire others while delivering the creative vision of the practice.
* The use of SketchUp and Adobe Suite would be beneficial.
* Identifying risks in projects (for both practice and the client).
* Managing relationships with consultants and contractor teams.
* Sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations (and other statutory requirements).
* Able to rely on own initiative, while also working well within a close-knit team.
The salary for this position is £25K – £35K (DOE).
