Lighting Designer
This Design Assistant opportunity offers exposure into an international, dynamic leader within their creative field. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a clear passion for architectural lighting as well as interiors and architecture.
Successful completion of an interior architecture or interior design course/degree and work experience in the architectural or lighting studio environment in required. This exciting and rewarding role will give the opportunity to work on some of the world’s most exciting luxury lighting projects in the fields of Residential, Spas, Retail, Yachts and Leisure and more!
Responsibilities
* Working as part of a team to create discreet lighting designs for clients
* Creating lighting specifications for luminaires and controls
* Producing CAD drawings of lighting layouts
* Compiling concept presentations to illustrate design proposals
* Adjustments and commissioning of the lighting system
* Site meetings
* Project management including co-ordination with other project members
Requirements
* Educated within an architectural or interior design qualification
* IT essentials include proficient use of AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, Dialux and MS Office.
* A team player who will be a valuable addition to the dynamic team.
* A good knowledge of what working on BIM projects in Rhino & Revit
Salary and Package
£25,000 – £30,000 dependant on experience + discretionary bonus
Hours – 9.30 – 5.30pm Monday – Friday
Holiday – 20 days in the first calendar year increasing by 1 day per year of service up to a maximum of 25 days. Additional 3 days given at Christmas.
