Creative role to assist the DT department in a SEND SchoolTimePlan are looking for a "handy man" who would like to work with tools and design technology in an all-boys SEND School.
It is an interesting role, possibly for someone who does not want such a physical labour job anymore.
It is a full-time, long-term opportunity with the working hours of 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Job Responsibilities
Comfortable supporting pupils with various Learning Difficulties
Supporting the Design Technology department with learning, carpentry, tool handling, building, using machines and more.
Ability to engage and support pupils
Assist with personal care

Consistent roleJob Requirements
Experience of supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities desirable
Experience in trade work – ability to use tools and machines
Able to stay calm and de-escalate challenging Behaviour
Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
